Realme GT7 Pro with Snapdragon 8 Elite destroys iPhone 16 Pro Max
On Monday, Qualcomm finally announced the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, which we recently thought would be launched as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4. A leaked AnTuTu benchmark test of a prototype of the Realme GT7 Pro has now shown what the new chip can do. And it’s apparently quite a lot.
The Realme GT7 Pro with the Snapdragon 8 Elite achieved a record-breaking result of no less than 3,025,991 points in the AnTuTu test. This puts it well ahead of Apple’s A18 Pro chipset, which is installed in the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max and achieves around 1.65 million points. The recently introduced Dimensity 9400 from MediaTek, which ranks in the range of 2.8 million points, will also no longer see the sun if the numbers are confirmed. In addition, the Snapdragon 8 Elite had previously performed very well in Geekbench tests.
However, there are supposedly two different versions of the Snapdragon 8 Elite: a basic version with two 4.09 GHz performance cores and six 2.78 GHz efficiency cores, and a premium model with two 4.32 GHz cores. Both versions have the Adreno 830 GPU and are manufactured using TSMC’s 3 nm process.
Realme GT7 Pro: 6,500 mAh battery and periscope telephoto camera
The Realme GT7 Pro will be officially available in China before the end of this month. According to a leak, the market launch in India will follow in mid-November. This will make it the first smartphone to be launched in India with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. The iQOO 13 will follow on December 3.
The Realme GT7 Pro is rumored to cost between INR 55,000 (€603/$654) and INR 60,000 (€658/$713). It will bring a 6.7-6.8-inch micro quad curved display with a 1.5K resolution and a 6,500mAh battery with support for 120W wired fast charging. There are three cameras on the back, including a periscope with 3x optical zoom, and a 32MP selfie camera on the front.
It will be IP68/69 certified for dust and water resistance, and to make this fact known, Realme has already done an official unboxing of sorts, which took place underwater.
