Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold durability test reveals known issues
About two weeks ago, Zack from the YouTube channel JerryRigEverything put the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 through its paces in a durability test. Now he has also tested the Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold, beginning by briefly reviewing the long history of Google foldable phones breaking: all of them broke during testing, right up to the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, whose battery subsequently exploded.
The crucial point is that all Pixel Fold models have cracks along the antenna lines. And these lines are still located in the same place. Zack begins his usual scratch tests on the Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold, which, according to Google’s marketing, is supposed to be twice as scratch-resistant in the new generation.

However, the same pattern emerges as always and as with every other premium phone – scratches from level 6, followed by deeper grooves from level 7. The foldable display also shows the familiar pattern of all foldables – deeper scratches from level 2.
Next up is the fire test, in which the foldable main display of the Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold performs quite well at 20 seconds. The supposedly better-protected cover display, on the other hand, only lasts 13 seconds. He then pours sand and gravel over the Pixel phone. Fine particles audibly enter the hinge mechanism, which shouldn’t happen given the IP68 rating.
Finally, Zack subjects the Pixel 11 Pro Fold to his bend test, revealing that Google has made the same design flaw for the fourth time in a row, as the Pixel 11 Pro Fold, like Google’s three previous foldable phones, has broken along both antenna lines.
But this time, the front glass also came loose. The video above shows why this happened and whether the Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold, like the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, also went up in smoke at the end of the durability test.
