New Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra renderings show a different camera design

Recent leaks suggested that the Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra would feature a redesigned rear camera with one fewer sensor than the Galaxy S26 Ultra. However, a newly surfaced CAD rendering reveals a completely different camera design than seen in earlier leaks.

The CAD renderings come from the well-known leaker Ice Universe, who shared the images on X. The render shows a camera platform similar to the iPhone 17 Pro with two sensors in separate cutouts and a third camera or flash/sensor module in a pill-shaped cutout.
According to the informant, the pill-shaped cutout could house a 5x telephoto camera, which is rumored to replace the 3x telephoto camera of the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra in two sizes
Meanwhile, leaker Sonny Dickson has released two more CAD renderings of the Galaxy S27 Ultra.

Dickson claims that Samsung could offer the upcoming Galaxy Ultra smartphone in two different sizes, as seen in the renderings.
These CAD renderings should be viewed with caution, as previous leaks suggested a horizontal rear camera module for the Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra. Furthermore, there’s also the possibility that the smaller Ultra is actually the Galaxy S27 Pro, which is expected to have a similar design to the Ultra but a less sophisticated camera setup.
