Oppo Find N5: Pictures show extremely thin profile

Three new leaks about the Oppo Find N5 have surfaced, showing the extremely flat casing and the performance.

The Oppo Find N5 will be launched in February and a product manager from the company has now shared more photos of the foldable device in advance. This time, he shows the extremely slim body of the Oppo phone next to an Apple iPhone 16 Pro Max. The unfolded device is as thick as two 1 CNY coins stacked on top of each other, or about 3.7mm. This means that it will be only the second smartphone in the world, foldable or not, to break the 4mm barrier. The first was the triple-folding Huawei Mate XT Ultimate.

The Oppo Find N5 is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. And it was this, along with the model number PKH110, that is why it was also spotted on Geekbench. The results are in line with other flagships with the latest Qualcomm chip.

However, the Geekbench test reveals a very interesting detail – the CPU in the Find N5 will apparently only have seven cores. These include the two 4.32 GHz Oryon V2 Phoenix L-Prime cores and five 3.53 GHz Oryon V2 Phoenix M cores. The standard configuration also includes a sixth performance core, also at 3.53 GHz. There is also 24 MB L2 cache and support for 5,300 MHz LPDDR5X RAM.

In a third leak, the Oppo Find N5 appeared in a leaked hands-on photo next to a Find N3 in red. In addition to the flat profile, the image also shows three cameras and an LED flash in a square formation on a circular camera island. The camera setup would be as before, but the arrangement would be new.

The big question is whether the Oppo Find N5 will also be sold internationally, either under the sister brand as the OnePlus Open 2 or as its own model. Option one is much more likely, after the Find N3 already hit the global markets as the renamed OnePlus Open.
