Samsung Galaxy F16 5G with Dimensity 6300 in Geekbench test
The Samsung Galaxy F16 5G recently appeared in a Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification for sale in India. Today, the next affordable Samsung phone appeared in the Geekbench database because someone tested a prototype on the benchmark platform.
As usual, some technical data also came to light. The Samsung Galaxy F16 5G is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, just like some versions of the Galaxy A16 5G, on which the F16 5G is very likely based. In some cases, there was even an additional M version with almost identical specs, as with the Galaxy A15, F15 and M15.
Back to the Samsung Galaxy F16 5G – the chipset of the prototype that went through the benchmark test was paired with 8 GB of RAM. However, the Galaxy A16 5G also comes in 4GB and 6GB versions, so those options could be offered on the F16 5G as well.
Furthermore, the benchmark test also reveals that the Samsung Galaxy F16 5G will likely launch with Android 14 and One UI 6 as the interface. Considering that it’s not even official yet and is still in the final stages of development, but Android 15 has been ready for a couple of months, that would be quite disappointing. On the other hand, Samsung is lagging behind its competitors when it comes to timeliness of updates this time, which may have played a role here.
The prototype tested managed a single-core score of 678 and a multi-core score of 1,902 points in the Geekbench 6.3.0 test. If history repeats itself, then the only difference between the Galaxy A16 5G and the Galaxy F16 5G is a more powerful battery in the yet-to-be-announced model. And in a potential M16 version, not to forget.
