OnePlus 13R in Geekbench test, OnePlus 12 gets Android 15
Geekbench is at it again, leaking the specs of another yet-to-be-announced smartphone. This time it’s the OnePlus 13R, which is expected to be announced early next year alongside the global version of the OnePlus 13.
The Geekbench test lists the OnePlus 13R with the model number CPH2645. The tested model ran on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, the same chip found in the OnePlus 12 and one generation newer than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 found in the OnePlus 12R. The name of the motherboard “Pineapple” is the same as the OnePlus 12.
The tested device also had 12 GB of RAM and ran Android 15, suggesting that OxygenOS 15 is on board. The benchmark test of the OnePlus 13R is on par with other Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 devices. As with previous generations, the OnePlus 13R will be a stripped-down version of the OnePlus 13, offering slightly older hardware and at a lower price. We are close to the launch of this device, so more details will come to light in the coming weeks.
OnePlus 12 gets OxygenOS 15.0.0.305 update with Android 15
There is also news about the OnePlus 12 mentioned – the Android 15 update with OxygenOS 15.0.0.305 is ready. It comes with several AI features such as enhancing photos, removing blur and AI retouching features. It also includes AI Notes, a new AI writing suite, a formatting feature, and a cleanup feature.
Additionally, the OnePlus 12 will also get the November 2024 security patch with the Android 15 update and the option to easily share Live Photos with nearby iOS devices. For more details, see the changelog above.
The Android 15 update with OxygenOS 15.0.0.305 has firmware version CPH2573_15.0.0.305(EX01) and is currently being rolled out to OnePlus 12 devices in India that are already running an OxygenOS 15 version. Next up are devices running OxygenOS 14 and the first OnePlus 12 smartphones in North America, Europe, and other global markets.
