First Apple AirPods 4 tests show hidden pairing button
The first reviews of the new Apple AirPods 4 have surfaced today, giving us a closer look at Apple’s latest earphones before they hit the market on Friday.
There are two types of AirPods 4 – one with active noise cancellation for €199 and one without for €149. Apple has hidden the pairing button and the charging status indicator on the AirPods 4 charging cases. The first test videos already show a quick overview of the changes.

As mentioned in both reviews, both charging cases for the Apple AirPods 4 no longer support MagSafe. This means that while the Apple headphones’ cases can be charged wirelessly, they lack magnets for precise locking or use with upright charging stands. There is one exception: the cases can still be magnetically attached to the Apple Watch’s charging puck.
