The day before yesterday, Google finally officially presented the Pixel 9, the 9 Pro, the 9 Pro Fold and the Pixel Watch 3 after months of leaks. The Google Pixel 9 Pro XL was also there. And was now subjected to his well-known durability test by Zack from the YouTube channel JerryRigEverything.

The Google Pixel 9 Pro XL comes in a new box style and has also received a new design with flat sides. You also get a huge 3.5 mm thick camera module. The display of the Google smartphone has Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection on the top. The scratch test went accordingly well. The first scratches appear from level 6 on the Mohs hardness scale, while deeper grooves remain from level 7.

The frame of the Google Pixel 9 Pro XL is of course made of metal with some plastic cutouts for the antenna cables. The camera model is made of metal on the edges and right end and of course glass above the cameras themselves.

The display can withstand the flame of a lighter for 30 seconds without sustaining permanent damage,. That’s a pretty good value. Finally, there is the usual bending test. The Pixel 9 Pro XL withstands bending from both sides without any problems. And thus passes the durability test with flying colors.
