Samsung is holding its next Unpacked event on Wednesday, July 22nd. The unveiling of the Galaxy Z Fold8, Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Flip8, as well as the Galaxy Watch9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra2, is expected. Today, new, seemingly official renderings of the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra2 were published by Evan Blass, also known as @evleaks.

Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra2 with 800mAh battery

The renderings confirm that the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra2 will be equipped with the Snapdragon Wear Elite chipset. They also show that the watch has an 800 mAh battery and is 12% thinner than its predecessor.

For comparison: The original Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra is 12.1 mm thick. It’s easy to calculate from this that the upcoming watch will be approximately 10.6 mm thick.

Extremely bright display

The rugged Galaxy Watch’s display will have a peak brightness of 5,000 nits. The device is IP69K dustproof and waterproof, and its casing is made of titanium.

As you can see, the design has remained very similar to the original, with a few minor adjustments. Even from a distance, the Samsung Ultra Smartwatch is still easily recognizable, which was presumably the original intention behind this design.
