Motorola Edge 70 Pro with Dimensity 8500 Extreme chip and 6,500 mAh battery is here
The Motorola Edge 70 Pro was unveiled today in India as the latest member of the Edge 70 series. It complements the Edge 70 Fusion, which was introduced at the beginning of March, and the Edge 70, which was launched at the end of last year. It features a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution, a refresh rate of up to 144 Hz, and a peak brightness of 5,200 nits.
The smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Extreme chipset and up to 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256 GB of UFS 4.1 internal storage.
The back of the Motorola Edge 70 Pro features a 50-megapixel main camera with a Sony Lytia 710 sensor and optical image stabilization (OIS), complemented by a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera. A multispectral sensor and an LED flash are also included. For selfies, there’s another 50-megapixel camera with autofocus.
The mobile phone features a 6,500 mAh silicon-carbon battery and supports 90-watt wired charging. It also offers support for 5-watt wired reverse charging.
Other specifications include IP68/IP69 protection (dust and water resistance), MIL-STD-810H certification, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos. For connectivity, the smartphone offers dual 5G support, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, Wi-Fi 6E, and GPS.
The Motorola Edge 70 Pro ships with Android 16 and will receive Android operating system updates and security patches for three years.

The Motorola mobile phone is available in the Pantone colors Lily White, Titanium, and Tea. The device is up to 7.29 mm thin, has a plastic frame, Corning Gorilla Glass 7i on the front, and weighs approximately 190 g.
The Motorola Edge 70 Pro is available in a version with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage for 38,999 INR (355 €/415 US dollars) and in a version with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage for 41,999 INR (382 €/445 US dollars). Sales begin on April 29th via Flipkart, Motorola India’s official online store, and in brick-and-mortar retail stores.
