Motorola Edge 70 unveiled as global Moto X70 Air
The Motorola Edge 70, along with its full specifications, appeared today on the company’s official Polish and German websites. The Edge 70 is the international version of the ultra-thin Motorola Moto X70 Air, which is only available in China. It was unclear whether it would have the same specifications—apparently it does.
The Motorola Edge 70 is available in three Pantone colors: Gadget Grey, Lilly Pad, and Bronze Green. All three colors feature a unique nylon-like back cover, an aircraft-grade aluminum frame, and a Gorilla Glass 7i front. The casing meets some MIL-STD-810H standards.
The Edge 70’s biggest advantage is its slim design. It’s only 6 mm thick, 160 mm high, 74 mm wide, and weighs 159 grams – an impressive 20 grams less than the Edge 60. As before, it’s powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset with 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM. It launches Android 16 and Motorola’s own user interface.
The device’s slim profile also has its drawbacks: the battery only has a capacity of 4,800 mAh. While this is significantly less than other current Motorola smartphones, it’s still considerably more than its main competitors, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge and the Apple iPhone Air.
Nevertheless, the battery delivers up to 29 hours of video playback, 66 hours of music playback, up to 8 hours of 4K video recording, and up to 10 hours of social media use. The latest leak also revealed the EU energy label for the Motorola Edge 70, which suggests a total runtime of almost 50 hours. The charging performance is also quite respectable at 68 watts wired and 15 watts wireless.
On the front is a 6.67-inch pOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 2712 x 1220 pixels. The panel is Pantone Validated, ensuring accurate colors. On the back is a 50 MP dual-camera system – a 24 mm wide-angle lens (f/1.8) and a 12 mm ultra-wide-angle lens (f/2.0) with PDAF. There is also a 50 MP camera on the front.
Motorola Edge 70 Prices
The Motorola Edge 70 is only available in one configuration with 12/512 GB of storage. The price is a hefty €800, while in China you only pay 2,699 CNY (approximately €326).
