Motorola Edge 70 Fusion unveiled with quad-curved 144Hz display
The new Motorola Edge 70 impresses with its particularly slim design, which, however, comes at the expense of battery capacity – the smartphone is only 6.0 mm thick, and the slim casing only accommodates a 4,800 mAh battery. For comparison: The Edge 60 was 7.9 mm thin and had a 5,200 mAh battery.
The new Motorola Edge 70 Fusion is slimmer than its predecessor without sacrificing battery performance – it has the same 5,200 mAh capacity as the Edge 60 Fusion, while the thickness was reduced from 8.0 mm to 7.2 mm. The weight remains almost unchanged at 177 g.
The new Fusion is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset, a TSMC N4 chip with Cortex-A720 and A520 CPU cores (15% faster than its predecessor) and an Adreno 810 GPU. This is a departure from the previous model, which featured a Dimensity 7300.
Motorola has also redesigned the display – the new model features a quad-curved 6.78-inch OLED panel with a 1272p+ resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. It achieves an impressive brightness of 5,200 nits, which is even higher than that of the Edge 70 (4,500 nits).

The front is protected by Gorilla Glass 7i. The Motorola Edge 70 Fusion is ruggedly built and has IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance (against immersion and water jets, respectively). It has also passed MIL-STD-810H testing.
On the back is a Pantone-validated dual camera. The main module features a 50 MP Sony Lytia 710 sensor (1.0 µm pixels) and a lens with optical image stabilization (OIS). It is complemented by a 13 MP ultra-wide-angle camera (120°) with macro capability. The selfie camera has a 32 MP sensor.
As before, the Motorola smartphone supports wired fast charging at 68 watts, but no wireless charging. The Motorola Edge 70 Fusion is available in various colors with a fabric-like surface on the back.
Incidentally, there will be a separate version of the Edge 70 Fusion with a thickness of 7.99 mm and a larger 7,000 mAh battery.
Prices
The Motorola Edge 70 Fusion is now available in Europe from the company’s online store. The 8/256GB model costs €420 but in our Motorola Edge 70 Fusion price comparison the price has already dropped slightly.
In the UK, the RRP is £370, however, a pair of free Moto Buds Loop earbuds worth £130 are included.
