vivo X500 Pro Max: Display and camera details teased
New details about vivo’s upcoming X500 series are emerging daily. Today, the focus is on the telephoto cameras and displays, specifically the display of the vivo X500 Pro Max.

According to the company, the vivo X500 Pro Max will be equipped with the world’s first BOE Q11 panel, as confirmed in a Weibo post. It features a 6.85-inch AMOLED display with 2K resolution.
The new BOE Q11 light-emitting material is said to reduce motion blur during scrolling by 93% and improve color uniformity by 43%. According to vivo, the panel also offers 22% better brightness uniformity.
Despite these improvements, the display is said to be 21% more energy efficient than a previous generation panel with 1.5K resolution.
The vivo X500 Pro Max also features a new multispectral sensor beneath the display, capable of accurately detecting various color temperatures and light spectra. Combined with a screen dimming level of 0.3 lux, this sensor is designed to enable smoother automatic brightness adjustments.

Furthermore, vivo product manager Han Boxiao revealed new details about the telephoto cameras of the upcoming vivo flagship models in two separate Weibo posts. The Pro model will be equipped with a 64-megapixel APO telephoto camera and a specially adapted Sony LYT-610 sensor. It uses a GG-1×1 and RB-2×2 pixel structure, which is intended to improve focusing performance.
According to a vivo manager, the telephoto lens system is based on the APO technology of the vivo X100 Pro. The camera offers an 85mm focal length and supports full-resolution 64MP photos. It also features CIPA 7.0 image stabilization, 4K slow-motion recording at 120 frames per second, and 4K HDR video output at 60 frames per second.
The vivo X500 Pro Max, meanwhile, will be equipped with the same 1/1.4-inch 200MP Samsung HP0 sensor used in the vivo X300 Ultra. It also supports CIPA 7.0 image stabilization and an improved capture pipeline for up to 30x zoom. The smartphone is also compatible with the 400mm teleconverter introduced with the X300 Ultra.
vivo recently confirmed that the X500 Pro Max will be equipped with a new Phantom 900 sensor, developed by Sony and vivo’s Blueprint imaging team, which is said to offer a dynamic range of 17 EV. The X500, X500 Pro, and X500 Pro Max are expected to be unveiled next month.
