Honor Power 2 and new Realme phone with 10,000 mAh batteries before launch

The Honor Power 2 and a new Realme phone with an as-yet-unknown name are about to launch. Why are we lumping them together? Both models will come with 10,000 mAh batteries, double the capacity of typical smartphones.
Honor Power 2
Honor has finally confirmed the release date of the Power 2 and also revealed the design of the back cover and the color options. The upcoming smartphone will be equipped with a powerful 10,080 mAh battery. According to a Weibo post from the company, the Honor Power 2 will launch in China on January 5th.

The company also presented the design of the back of the Honor Power 2, which is similar to that of the iPhone 17 Pro. It closely resembles the current iPhones. The smartphone will also be available in an orange version, just like the current iPhones.
The Honor Power 2 appears to have three camera cutouts in a rectangular module that spans the entire width of the device. It will be available in Rising Sun Orange, Magic Night Black, and Snow White, with 12/256 GB and 12/512 GB storage options. It will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Elite chipset.
According to a recent leak, the smartphone will be equipped with a 50-megapixel main camera on the back. Rumors also suggest it will feature a 6.79-inch LTPS AMOLED display.
Realme smartphone with 10,001 mAh battery has surfaced
In May, Realme already presented a prototype with a 10,000 mAh battery. In August, the Chinese even showed a 15,000 mAh model and announced plans to launch a smartphone with a 7,500 mAh battery later this year and a 10,000 mAh model “soon.” So far, however, only Realme smartphones with 7,000 mAh batteries are available, including the P4 and P4 Pro, the 15T, the 15x, the GT8 and GT8 Pro, two C85 models, the P4x as well as the Narzo 90 and Narzo 90x.

Although Realme has not yet commented on the commercial availability of a smartphone with a 10,000 mAh battery, the editor-in-chief of a Russian blog has now shared the above image and some technical specifications. The as-yet-unnamed Realme smartphone, model number RMX5107, has a 10,001 mAh battery. That’s exactly 1 mAh more than the battery capacity of the Honor Win and Win RT, which were presented last Friday.
The smartphone runs Realme UI 7.0 and has 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. However, additional storage configurations will likely be available at launch. The source claims that the RMX5107 has been certified for Hi-Res Audio support and is currently undergoing the certification process for sale in Russia. Therefore, more information is expected in the coming weeks.
