Ultra-thin Motorola Edge 70 / Moto X70 Air: Video and teaser before the launch
Motorola began teasing the Moto X70 Air in China late last month, and as the name suggests, it will be a very thin device. We’ve since heard that it could launch internationally as the Motorola Edge 70, and today a new leak confirms this and also tells us exactly what we can expect in terms of slimness.

According to well-known tipster Evan Blass aka @evleaks, the Motorola Edge 70 will be less than 6 mm thin, putting it in the same league as the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge, iPhone Air, Tecno Spark Slim, and Tecno Pova Slim are also competing.
The above promo video has also leaked and shows the upcoming device from many angles and in three color variants. According to an earlier rumor, the Motorola Edge 70 will feature a 50 MP main camera with OIS and an ultra-wide-angle camera with a 120-degree field of view. It will also feature stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support.
Motorola Moto X70 Air: New image and launch date
Furthermore, the Motorola Moto X70 Air has appeared in an official teaser image. The image highlights the device’s slim profile, apart from the camera island on the top with at least two lenses. The image also contains two hints in Chinese: first, that the Air will focus on AI features in addition to its design, and second, that it will be officially released in October.
Rumors suggest that the Motorola Moto X70 Air will be equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, as Motorola was named as one of the launch partners for this chip. Unfortunately, there is currently no further information on the X70 Air. However, the X series is traditionally only available in China, hence the international renaming to Motorola Edge 70.
While the Moto X70 Air will launch in China this month, it remains unclear when the Edge 70 will be introduced internationally. The Motorola Edge 60 was announced back in April, but we doubt Motorola would wait that long for its latest entry in the slimming war to reach the global market. In fact, an alleged advertising image of the Edge 70 leaked last week with the slogan “incredibly thin and incredibly robust.”
