Motorola Edge 70 will be “incredibly thin”

A few months ago, an alleged rendering of the Motorola Edge 70 surfaced online, showing a design typical of the Edge series. Now, tipster Evan Blass has published what appears to be an official image of the phone, which looks completely different. The lime green accents on the four raised circles on the camera island (three cameras and an LED flash) and the matching button on the side weren’t visible in the old image.

Also, it’s hard to tell, but it looks like this Motorola Edge 70 will have a flat display—at least one that’s not nearly as curved as the Edge 60’s. As you can see from the small square on the back, Motorola worked with Pantone again to select this color—and there should be more shades to come.
The slogan “Incredibly thin and incredibly tough” is fitting for the current times. Thinness is a new trend, currently being fueled by the rivalry between the Apple iPhone Air and the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge and other manufacturers. The Edge 60 was 7.9 mm thick (or 8.2 mm, depending on the color chosen), so nothing special in that regard.
In fact, Motorola, apart from the foldable Razr models, doesn’t offer any smartphones that come close to, let alone are thinner than, 7 mm. We’re excited for the next Motorola Edge 70 leak.
