Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge teardown video shows inner workings
The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge was released last month after much anticipation and has since been taken apart, as usual, by Zack from JerryRigEverything in a teardown video. However, the well-known durability test is still missing – Maybe the YouTuber will provide this later.
The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge can be easily opened from the back by slightly heating the adhesive and then using a suction cup. As expected, there are many screws inside. The vibration motor is super-thin, but interestingly, the waterproof membrane above the speaker is mounted at an angle due to the smartphone’s thinness.
The battery is also very easy to remove – perhaps the simplest system on the market, which was already used in the other S25 phones. Apparently, a lot of thickness was saved on the battery to achieve the smartphone’s 5.8 mm profile.
The company also removed “frame chips” wherever possible, according to Zack, because the chipset in the Galaxy S25 Edge is in direct contact with the vapor chamber compared to the Galaxy S25 Ultra. The middle layer of the base plate is also significantly thinner on the Edge. The titanium frame also features an aluminum inner frame.
