Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 series launches globally on January 15th
Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 13 series was unveiled in China back in September and is set to launch in India tomorrow. Today we also received confirmation of the global market launch on January 15th.
At least three Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 models will go on a world tour, with the teasers introducing the Note 13 Pro and the Pro+ with their 200 megapixel main cameras. The Xiaomi phones also feature the same 6.67-inch OLED displays with a resolution of 1,220 x 2,712 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz.
Both smartphones also have 4nm chipsets, with the Redmi Note 13 Pro relying on a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 from Qualcomm, while the Pro+ runs on MediaTek’s Dimensity 7200 Ultra.
OnePlus 12R comes with a 5,500 mAh battery and LTPO 4.0 display
OnePlus is currently teasing the OnePlus 12R, today via the company’s Indian X account. At the same time, there was also confirmation of the phone’s design and the launch date of January 23rd. According to the tweet, the 12R runs “Smooth Beyond Belief.”
The focus was also on the OnePlus 12R’s new LTPO 4.0 display, which supports adaptive refresh rates of up to 90 Hz. OnePlus furthermore claims that the 12R has the largest battery the Chinese have ever put in a phone. However, at 5,500 mAh, the capacity is only 2% larger than the OnePlus 12.
The OnePlus 12R will launch alongside the OnePlus 12 on January 23rd. Aside from the LTPO technology, the 6.78-inch display also boasts Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. It is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset in combination with up to 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM. There is also a 50-megapixel IMX890 main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and a 2-megapixel macro camera. The charging rate is expected to reach a fast 100 watts.
Honor Magic6 Pro in purple revealed
Honor will unveil the Magic6 Pro on either January 10th or 11th. The last images showed the smartphone in green, but CEO George Zhao also presented a purple version today. This was inspired by “the beautiful scenery during dawn on the coast of Lake Qinghai.”
The new image does not reveal any further technical data about the Honor cell phone. At least you can see the periscope camera behind the top lens, curved 2.5D sides and several buttons on the right side. A Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset with up to 1 TB of memory should provide appropriate computing power. As an operating system, Honor’s MagicOS 8.0 is a safe bet.
