Xiaomi 14: new leak unveils all specs
According to a tip from last week, Xiaomi is currently preparing to bring its new flagship smartphones to the Chinese market on October 27th. Since this date is already next week, the leaks are also increasing. This is also the case today, when the full technical data of the base model Xiaomi 14 has been leaked. The tip comes from the Chinese social network Weibo, but does not come from a well-known tipster. Therefore, you should initially treat the specifications with caution.
According to the leak, the Xiaomi 14 features a 6.44-inch Huaxing C8 OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate. The peak brightness is 2,800 nits, and the panel also supports Dolby Vision and covers the DCI-P3 color space.
The Xiaomi smartphone has a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset at the helm. Qualcomm will officially unveil its next top processor at the annual Snapdragon Summit in Hawaii, taking place October 24-26 this year. Xiaomi has obviously decided to become the first manufacturer with the new chip. There are also supposedly LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. A 4,600 mAh battery provides power, which confirms an earlier leak. It supports 90-watt wired charging, 50-watt wireless charging, and 10-watt reverse wireless charging.
The camera system is led by a 50 megapixel OmniVision OV50H main camera with OIS. There is also a 50 megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 50 megapixel telephoto lens, while the Xiaomi 14 Pro should have a fourth camera. Unsurprisingly, two stereo speakers and an IR blaster as well as IP68 protection for dust and water resistance are also on board. According to the leak, there’s also a “2-in-1 acoustic motor” and a large vapor chamber cooling system.
