Samsung Galaxy S26 Document Scan is coming to the S25, Z Fold7 and Z Flip7

Samsung introduced a feature with the Galaxy S26 series that will now also be available on some older Galaxy smartphones running One UI 8.5. This feature is the improved scanning function called “Document Scan”.

Previously, multiple photos of documents could not be saved as a single PDF document. Samsung developed the “Document Scan” function for this purpose, which launched with the Samsung Galaxy S26 series.

Additionally, Samsung has simplified access to Document Scan by allowing users to add a shortcut to their smartphone’s home screen. Simply open the default camera app, go to Camera settings > Scan > Document scan and activate the switch next to the option “Add document scan to app screen”.

The Document Scan function is used for the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, Galaxy S25 Ultra, Galaxy S25 Edge, Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 will be available with the stable version of One UI 8.5.
Of course, there are more Samsung phones, which are suitable for One UI 8.5, but whether they will receive the document scanning function remains to be seen.
