The Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro made its debut in September last year, and now the company is apparently working on a new model called the Xiaomi Pad 8S Pro.

The leaked image in the upper left shows a section of the Xiaomi tablet’s info screen and reveals its key specifications. The tablet is powered by Xiaomi’s own Xring O3 chipset and has 16GB of RAM. It features a 50MP rear camera (along with a 2MP secondary camera) and a 32MP front camera.

The Pad 8S Pro 12.5 features a 12,000 mAh battery and ships with HyperOS 4, presumably based on Android 17. Since the screen is in Chinese, the new tablet will likely launch in China first, which aligns with Xiaomi’s usual approach in recent years. Whether it will later be available in other countries remains to be seen, especially since none of the previous Xring O1 devices, the predecessor to last year’s Xring O3, were released internationally.

The Xiaomi Pad 8S Pro could be launched in the coming weeks along with the Xiaomi Mix Fold 5 (or Xiaomi 18 Fold), which is also expected to be equipped with the Xring O3 chipset.
