Last July, it was reported that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 would be released with a crease-free display, even before Apple’s foldable iPhone. Earlier this year, it was reported that Samsung would be using a new display technology in the Galaxy Z Fold8 that would reduce the visibility of the crease by about 20%.

Recently, leaker Ice Universe said that the crease on the Fold8 series was “not significantly better”, but now it is said to be as good as that of the Oppo Find N6.

Regarding the previous post, in which the tipster stated that the crease in the display of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 series had not improved significantly, Ice Universe has now clarified that he was referring to the first test version in that post and that he is now referring to the latest version.

Furthermore, he posted that the original Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 had been renamed Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, while the first Galaxy Z Fold Wide would now be called Galaxy Z Fold8.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 series without privacy display

The tipster previously claimed that the Galaxy Z Fold8 series would not have the Privacy Display feature of the Galaxy S26 Ultra and would not support the S Pen. Whether this is true, we will only know when the Fold8 series goes on sale. Rumors suggest it will be released on July 22nd.
