Huawei could soon be expanding its Mate 70 series from last year with a new phone. A smartphone called Huawei Mate 70 Air has been listed on the website of China Telecom, where design and key specifications are published. The Huawei Mate 80 series is also about to launch.

Huawei Mate 70 Air: Key Specs Leaked

The Huawei Mate 70 Air is said to be a slim and lightweight phone that can compete with the Apple iPhone Air and the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge. It is listed on China Telecom’s website under the model number SUP-AL90. The phone has a 6.9-inch display and runs HarmonyOS 5.

The images show the Huawei Mate 70 Air with a circular camera module on the back with three sensors, including a periscope telephoto lens. On the front, the Huawei phone appears to have a pill-shaped notch that could house a selfie camera and additional sensors for a 3D face unlock feature.

The Huawei Mate 70 Air will be offered with up to 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB or 512 GB of storage. It could be launched in Gold Black, Feather White, and Gold Silver Brocade.

Huawei Mate 80 series set to launch in China

The Huawei Mate 80 series is slowly but surely getting ready and, according to a new rumor from well-known tipster Digital Chat Station, could be announced as early as November. This could change, and the launch could be delayed until December, but currently, November seems to be the favorite.

The Huawei Mate 80 will reportedly be available in black, white, and turquoise. Interestingly, alongside the Mate 80 phones, a “2-in-1 tablet” will also be available at the launch event, although what exactly that means is still unclear.

Regardless, this mysterious device will be offered in Moonlight Silver and Space Gray. A previous rumor suggested that we can expect a redesigned camera island for the Huawei Mate 80 family, as seen in the allegedly leaked images above.

The Mate 80 series is said to feature 100W charging and a new Kirin chipset. At least one member could bring an active integrated fan.
