Samsung Galaxy M17 unveiled as rebranded Galaxy F17/A17 in India

Samsung has unveiled its latest M-series smartphone in India. The Samsung Galaxy M17 is the M variant of the Galaxy F17, which launched last month as the rebranded Galaxy A17. This makes the M17 the third variant of the same smartphone.

The only distinguishing features are the available colors – Moonlight Silver and Sapphire Black—and the price, which starts at INR 12,499 (€121/$141) for the 4/128GB model. This makes the M17 the most affordable of the trio. Samsung also offers a 6/128GB version for INR 13,999 and an 8/128GB version for INR 15,499.

To summarize the technical specifications: The Galaxy M17 features a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 90 Hz refresh rate. As usual, it’s powered by the Exynos 1330 chipset and a 5,000 mAh battery with 25W wired charging.

On the back, there’s a 50 MP main camera, a 5 MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2 MP depth sensor. The Samsung Galaxy M17 ships with One UI 7.0 based on Android 15 and receives the same 6 years of software and security updates that Samsung offers with its premium phones.
The Samsung Galaxy M17 will go on sale from October 13th through Samsung India and partner retailers.
