Redmi 15C 5G with Dimensity 6300 chip and 6,000 mAh battery is here
The Redmi 15C 4G made its debut in Poland. Now the next variant of the phone has arrived in half of Europe – the Redmi 15C 5G. Due to its 5G connectivity, it’s a significantly different model.
The MediaTek Helio G81 Ultra chipset has been replaced by a more modern, 5G-capable Dimensity 6300. The chipset is manufactured using a 6 nm process instead of 12 nm, making it considerably more power-efficient. It also has newer CPU cores – two Cortex-A76 at 2.4 GHz and six A55 at 2.0 GHz, as well as a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU.
The 5G model is available in two configurations: 4/128 GB and 4/256 GB. It features LPDDR4X RAM and eMMC 5.1 storage. A dedicated microSD slot allows for easy storage expansion.
The Redmi phone is slightly heavier at 211 g (vs. 205 g) and larger overall – 173.2 x 81.0 x 8.2 mm vs. 171.6 x 79.5 x 8.0 mm. This despite the same screen size, a 6.9-inch LCD display with 720p+ and 120 Hz, and the same 6,000 mAh battery with 33W charging support (no charger is included). The phone is IP64 certified (dustproof, splashproof).
On the back of the Redmi 15C 5G, there’s a 50 MP camera with an f/1.8 lens and 1080p @ 30fps video recording, and an 8 MP front camera with an f/2.0 lens and the same video recording capability. The front camera is housed in a drop-shaped notch.
The Redmi 15C 5G features a 3.5 mm headphone jack and an FM radio. It supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, and global positioning (GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, Beidou). NFC is available in some regions. A fingerprint reader is located on the side of the phone.
As mentioned, the Xiaomi Redmi 15C 5G is already available in several EU countries. Here are the local prices. For comparison, the 4G model normally costs €150 in Spain, but is currently reduced to €130 (this applies to a 4/128 GB device).
