Xiaomi HyperOS 3 will be announced on August 28
Xiaomi has officially confirmed that its next operating system update will be called HyperOS 3. This refutes previous rumors that it might be called HyperOS 26. The update is based on Android 16.
The Chinese brand announced in a Weibo post that it will unveil HyperOS 3 at an event in China on August 28. In another post, Xiaomi CEO Lu Weibing pointed out that the upcoming update will make the user interface smoother and more responsive. We’ll find out exactly what that means tomorrow at the latest.
Meanwhile, Xiaomi will also release the first beta version of HyperOS 3 for eligible devices immediately after the event. In terms of eligibility, the beta will initially be available for the Xiaomi 15 series, the Redmi K80 Pro/Ultimate Edition, the Pad 7S Pro 12.5 and the Pad 7 Pro were made available in China.
