Sony Xperia 10 VI receives Android 15 update
The Sony Xperia 10 VI is the latest Sony smartphone to receive the Android 15 update. This is the first major Android update for the device, which was launched with Android 14. In total, it is expected to receive three major Android version updates over the course of its life cycle. The new firmware comes three weeks after the Xperia 10 V was updated to the latest Android version.
The Android 15 update for the Sony Xperia 10 VI has the build number 70.1.A.0.425 and is said to be less than 1 GB in size. As is usual with Sony, there is no changelog for the new software. However, the improvements, new features and fixes are likely to be similar to what other Xperias got with the update to Android 15.
These are likely to include a private area, new wallpapers, new home screen / lock screen styles, new Side Sense features, a redesigned quick settings panel and updated notification windows. We also expect new pop-up windows and streaming via the Bluetooth LE audio standard to be on board.
