Samsung Galaxy A16 5G and A16 4G: All colors and prices
The Samsung Galaxy A16 5G and 4G are now appearing more and more frequently in the leaks – time for the official presentation. We have already seen the battery capacity and a Geekbench test, but today it is time for the first pictures. A new leak shows both models in all three color versions.
Rumor has it that the inexpensive Samsung phone has a 6.7-inch LCD display with 1,080 x 2,340 pixels, a refresh rate of 90 Hz and a peak brightness of 800 nits. Under the hood there are 4, 6 or 8 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB of storage. As is usual with Samsung, the battery of the Galaxy A16 5G has a capacity of 5,000 mAh. Finally, thanks to an IP54 classification, basic protection against dust and splash water is also built in.
Perhaps one of the main selling points will be the fairly long software support for this price range. Samsung promises six major Android updates and six years of security patches. Some of the more expensive models from some competitors could learn a thing or two from that.
The Samsung Galaxy A16 5G will use a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset in India and Thailand and Samsung’s own Exynos 1330 everywhere else. The 4G model is also on the way, but the specifications are still pretty unclear. In the official renderings, however, both models look almost identical.

A new leak today also sheds light on another important aspect of the Samsung Galaxy A16 5G and 4G – the prices. According to a European retailer’s internal database, the Galaxy A16 4G will cost €209.90, while the Galaxy A16 5G starts at €239.90. Both prices are for 128GB of storage, but the database does not reveal the RAM.
If these are the base models – and the price suggests so – then it would not be surprising to see them with 4GB of RAM. That is clearly too little RAM for an Android phone in 2024, where AI features in particular will need significantly more memory. We recommend opting for at least 6GB, even if that will increase the cost a bit.
As is usual with price leaks, these prices cannot be directly converted into other currencies. Even within the EU, there are several VAT rates that can slightly affect pricing.
