The Redmi K70 Ultra is likely to come onto the global market as the Xiaomi 14T Pro. But first, a Lamborghini Edition is in the starting blocks.

The Redmi K70 series was introduced in late November 2023 with the Redmi K70 and K70 Pro. However, the ultimate member of the series is yet to come – the Redmi K70 Ultra will start tomorrow, July 19. Later, the Ultra should also hit global markets as the Xiaomi 14T Pro. And now Xiaomi announces that there will also be a special edition. Xiaomi designed the Redmi K70 Ultra Championship Edition in collaboration with Lamborghini. It looks like there are two color options: green and (of course) yellow. The inspiration for the design comes from the Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2, Lamborghinis racecar for the international Lamborghini Super Trofeo racing series.

The design of the car is all angles and carbon fiber, which Xiaomi has also carried over to the Redmi smartphone. Strictly speaking, there is also the appropriately dramatic name – Automobili Lamborghini Squadra Corse. But if you like, you can just stick with the Championship Edition. Back in November 2023, Xiaomi collaborated with Lamborghini on a special edition Redmi K70 Pro modeled after the Essenza SCV12 hypercar for the racetrack.

Xiaomi has already revealed details about the regular Redmi K70 Ultra / Xiaomi 14T Pro. A MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ chipset with a 3D heat dissipation system sits at the helm. The 120Hz display uses DC dimming down to 60 nits and switches to 3,840Hz PWM dimming below that. The resolution is 1220p+, plus IP68 protection is on board for dust and water resistance.

The Redmi K70 Ultra and K70 Ultra Championship Edition will be fully revealed tomorrow. If history is any indication, however, we may have to wait a few months for the Lamborghini-inspired model to become available. In international markets, the Poco F6 Pro is quite similar to the standard K70. It would not be a big surprise that the K70 Ultra could come onto the global market as the Xiaomi 14T Pro. The Xiaomi 13T Pro was already based on the Redmi K60 Ultra.
