Redmi has just unveiled the K70, K70 Pro and K70e smartphones at a big event in China, which will later come to us as Xiaomi Poco F6, Poco F6 Pro and Poco X6 Pro. However, one variant was still missing. The top model is also coming onto the market as the Redmi K70 Pro Automobili Lamborghini Squadra Corse Edition. This is the racing department of Lamborghini, with which Redmi is celebrating its 10th anniversary in the smartphone world.
There are three key differences between the Automobili Lamborghini Squadra Corse Edition and the regular Redmi K70 Pro. The design is definitely the most obvious point – the camera module is no longer a rectangle, but an inverted convex pentagon. The shape is reminiscent of Lamborghini’s sharp lines, but the rest of the casing is still made of plastic. The green or yellow elements and the carbon design are just stickers under the glass back.
The second point is the software. The limited Redmi K70 Pro Edition has its own Lamborghini Squadra Corse theme based on the new Xiaomi HyperOS interface. The car in the background of the teaser is the Lamborghini Essenza SCV12 – a pure race track tool with an 830 bhp V12 engine. The final difference is that the new Redmi smartphone only comes in one version with 24GB RAM and 1TB storage.
Apart from that, the Redmi K70 Pro Automobili Lamborghini Squadra Corse Edition is technically identical to the regular model / the Xiaomi Poco F6 Pro. There’s a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, fast LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. The 5,000 mAh battery charges with a fast 120 watts. The price is yet to be announced, but unfortunately we have to assume that this variant will not leave China.
