Samsung Galaxy Ring: the next clues

At the end of its big Unpacked event, which took place a few hours ago, Samsung quickly introduced the next big thing – the Galaxy Ring. The Smart Ring brings Samsung’s “cutting-edge” healthcare innovations to an entirely new form factor. It will be a “powerful and accessible health and wellness device, here to change the shape of future health like only Samsung can”.

The ring is circular and black, at least in the version shown in the teaser. Speaking of teasers: There is also a not-so-subtly hidden teaser for the Galaxy Ring in the latest official Samsung Health advertising video. Pay attention to the 2:10 mark.
What could this shape represent? It’s pretty obvious. The Samsung Galaxy Ring has been making the rounds in the rumor mill for quite some time. There were even already rumors that it would be on stage together with the Galaxy S24 series. That obviously didn’t happen and now all we can do is stick to the other leaked date later this year. This means the premiere could coincide with the next foldables, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6.
Since it is a smart wearable device, we can assume that it records various biosignals. Vibrations for incoming notifications are also possible. Since the Galaxy Ring doesn’t have a display, the battery life should be better than on a smartwatch.
