iOS 18.4 and iPadOS 18.4: Siri AI will speak new languages from April

The upcoming Apple Intelligence features will be available with the update to iOS 18.4 and iPadOS 18.4. Today, Apple’s official pages for the iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 updates were updated, announcing the release date of the 18.4 versions. The time has come in early April. At that time, Apple Intelligence will add support for the following languages: Chinese (Simplified), English (India, Singapore), French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese (Brazil) and Spanish.

It was also expected that Apple would finally release the updated Siri functionality with iOS 18.4. According to the latest rumors, however, we will have to wait even longer, as the update and thus Siri AI have apparently been delayed again. This leaves the question of which new Apple Intelligence features will launch with this version.
At least the first betas of iOS 18.4 and iPadOS 18.4 should go online next week. And that should also mean that the cat is out of the bag as to which features will make it into the final version for April.
According to the report on the new Siri AI linked above, the personal assistant should learn more context about the user in order to better understand requests and provide better answers. There should also be more AI features within apps and also between different apps. In addition, Siri should also be able to recognize display content and react to what the user sees. Something similar has long been known from the Android world of Google’s Circle to Search or Google Lens.
