Apple Intelligence is coming to Europe and Asia in April

Apple Intelligence launches in French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, and Simplified Chinese.

Apple introduced Apple Intelligence last September with the iPhone 16 series, which was released later in October. It is not available in all countries and only supports the English language in most regions of the world. However, Apple Intelligence will gain support for over half a dozen languages in April.

This announcement came from Apple CEO Tim Cook during the Q4 2024 earnings call. Cook said, “In April, we are bringing Apple Intelligence to more languages, including French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, and Simplified Chinese, as well as localized English in Singapore and India.”

While Cook mentioned eight languages during the earnings call, Apple’s support page for Apple Intelligence mentions a ninth, Vietnamese. Support for these languages will be provided through a software update in April.

Apple Intelligence is already available in the US, UK, Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, and South Africa. However, the prerequisite is an iPhone with iOS 18.2 or higher, an iPad with at least iPadOS 18.2 or a Mac with macOS Sequoia 15.2 or higher.
