Meta AI: 6 new countries – AI assistant goes on a world tour

Meta AI is expanding its reach to six more countries today. In addition to the UK, the AI assistant is now available in Brazil, Bolivia, Guatemala, Paraguay and the Philippines, including support for Tagalog. And “coming soon”, Meta AI will also be rolling out to Algeria, Egypt, Indonesia, Iraq, Jordan, Libya, Malaysia, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Thailand, Tunisia, the United Arab Emirates, Vietnam and Yemen. Plus, language support for Arabic, Indonesian, Thai and Vietnamese.

After this expansion, Meta AI will be available in 43 countries and a dozen languages. It can be used on the web at meta.ai, as well as in WhatsApp, Facebook, Messenger and Instagram by simply tapping the Meta AI icon or typing “@Meta AI” to make it your conversation partner. It has a range of AI voices, can recognise details in photos, edit images, create creative captions and, of course, generate images too. Of course, you can also ask it questions about anything.
Meta boasts that Meta AI is on track to become the world’s most used AI assistant by the end of the year, with the goal of growing to nearly 500 million monthly active users by then. Meta AI also launched in the UK and Australia today for Ray-Ban Meta glasses, but initially only with voice support.
