Redmi K90 Max with high-end chip in Geekbench test
The Redmi K90 Max will be unveiled later this month alongside the Redmi K Pad 2. It will be equipped with the largest fan ever fitted to a smartphone. This fan is said to be able to lower the internal temperature by up to 10 degrees Celsius in just 100 seconds, which will improve the performance of the device. The Redmi K90 Max has apparently appeared in a benchmark test in the Geekbench online database under the model number 2604FRK1EC, after someone ran the benchmark on a prototype. As can be seen in the screenshot above left, it achieved a single-core score of 3,513 and a multi-core score of 10,711 in Geekbench 6.6.
Redmi K90 Max with MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset
The smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset and the prototype that performed the benchmark test has 16 GB of RAM. Redmi will certainly offer further RAM options at launch. As expected, the device will launch with Android 16 and Xiaomi’s HyperOS 3 as its user interface.
Rumours suggest the K90 Max has a 6.83-inch OLED display with 1.5K resolution and 165 Hz refresh rate as well as an 8,500 mAh battery with support for very fast 100-watt wired charging. Despite the fan, it is said to be dustproof and waterproof according to IP66, IP68 and IP69.
