Redmi K80 Ultra with Dimensity 9400+ in Geekbench test
A few hours ago, Xiaomi launched its teaser campaign for the upcoming Redmi K80 Ultra, the brand’s next flagship smartphone. The device has now been spotted in a Geekbench test. A prototype achieved a single-core score of 2,679 points and a multi-core score of 8,358 points. As always with benchmark results from pre-production units, one shouldn’t read too much into these numbers.
The Geekbench test confirms that the Redmi K80 Ultra is equipped with the Dimensity 9400+ chipset from MediaTek. The device that ran the benchmark also had 16 GB of RAM installed. However, there will probably also be a base model with 12 GB of RAM.
Redmi K80 Ultra with a very large battery
The smartphone will launch with Android 15 and Xiaomi’s HyperOS. But those are all the details revealed by the benchmark test for now. According to a May certification, the smartphone has a battery with a nominal capacity of 7,270 mAh, which corresponds to a typical advertised capacity of 7,400 or 7,500 mAh.
The Redmi K80 Ultra is also expected to feature a 6.83-inch, flat OLED display with 1.5K resolution and an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner underneath. There’s also a triple camera setup on the back, one of which is said to have a resolution of 50 MP. It supports fast 100-watt wired charging, and it offers IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance. The price is expected to be around 3,000 CNY (€367/$416).
