The Redmi K80 Pro is launching on November 27th and today we got more details about the upcoming flagship killer. Parent company Xiaomi has revealed the key specifications on its Weibo profile, including the new flagship chipset from Qualcomm, a huge battery, and an IP68 and IP69 rating.

The Redmi K80 Pro coming with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset is no surprise, as company officials have already hinted that the phone will be extremely fast and powerful. It will also have a D1 chip that can increase the frame rate and resolution of the display in certain apps and games.

The smartphone also appeared in a Geekbench benchmark test that confirmed the Snapdragon 8 Elite’s high performance. 2,753 points were scored for the main core and 8,460 points for multiple cores. Geekbench also revealed the model number 24122RKC7C, as well as Android 15 and 16 GB RAM in at least one version. For the chip, Geekbench shows a core configuration with two 4.32 GHz Oryon V2 Phoenix L cores and six 3.53 GHz Oryon V2 Phoenix M cores. The Pro model had previously flexed its muscles in an AnTuTu test.

This means that the Redmi K80 Pro is slowly developing into a real flagship. Cooling is provided by a 3D cooling solution. This is probably a very large vapor chamber. Xiaomi has also continued to work on durability – in addition to the IP69 water and dust protection, extra strong glass is supposed to protect the QHD display.

But there is another highlight – Xiaomi has installed a 6,000 mAh battery in the Redmi K80 Pro, making it the first device with such a capacity in the Redmi K series. The Redmi smartphone supports wired charging with 120 watts and additional wireless charging with 50 watts. The Chinese introduced the function into the series with the Redmi K60 Pro, but later removed it with the K70 series. The Redmi K80 smartphones will later launch on the global market as the Poco F7 series.
