Xiaomi 15: Geekbench test shows extreme performance

The Xiaomi 15 was supposed to be officially released in a few days. Finally, yesterday the last piece of the puzzle finally fell into place when Qualcomm unveiled the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset that will power it. A leaked benchmark test of the Xiaomi 15 now shows what the Elite is capable of. The smartphone completed the Geekbench test with a record-breaking result.

According to Geekbench’s online database, the Xiaomi 15 ran through the benchmark service in the current version 6.3.0. In addition, it achieved an extremely high single-core score of 3,180 points and an almost even more impressive multi-core score of 10,058 points. The Xiaomi phone had 16 GB of RAM. However, it is still unclear whether this will be the only option or whether others will also be offered when the phone is launched.

Interestingly, the prototype was already running the brand new Android 15, which Google released for its Pixel phones just last week. That doesn’t necessarily mean that the finished Xiaomi 15 will run Android 15 from day one. But the chances of that happening have just increased significantly.
The Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro will launch simultaneously later this month. There will of course be an Ultra model again, but as usual, that will come a little later. Note that the 15 and 15 Pro will initially only be sold in China. The global release should take place a few weeks later, but probably without the Pro version again like last year.
