Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6: Geekbench test, specs and price

Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy Z Flip6 soon. In advance, the upcoming flip phone appeared in a benchmark test on Geekbench. In addition to the performance, the chipset and operating system also came to light.

Geekbench reveals four CPU clusters that look a lot like the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 platform. More precisely, like an 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy, Samsung’s customized version with a Cortex-X4 core at 3.4 GHz. In addition, the test included 12 GB of RAM and Android 14, which was enough for 2,247 single-core points and 6,857 multi-core points. The phone with the model number SM-F741B is said to be the variant intended for the European and North American markets.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 technical data
In a second leak, various technical data for the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 also came to light. This includes a foldable 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X main display with 1,080 x 2,640 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The 3.4-inch Super AMOLED cover display has a resolution of 720 x 748 pixels. There is also 256 GB or 512 GB of storage.

The 50-megapixel main camera has an f/1.8 aperture, which sounds a lot like the combination of the Galaxy S24 series and the Galaxy Z Fold5. The ultrawide camera remains unchanged from the Galaxy Z Flip5 at 12 megapixels. And the same 10-megapixel camera as last year has to be used for selfies. In addition, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 only supports Wi-Fi 6E and not Wi-Fi 7, but has 14 5G bands. There’s also support for Bluetooth 5.3 and USB 3.2 Gen 1.
The Galaxy Z Flip6 measures 165.1 x 71.9 x 6.9mm when unfolded and weighs 187g. That’s exactly the same dimensions as the Flip5 and the same weight too. Despite that, the battery will be a bit bigger with a capacity of 4,000mAh.
Prices
The third leak concerns the price of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6. Just like the Galaxy Z Fold6, the Flip6 will also be $100 more expensive than its predecessor in all variants. The entry-level model with 256GB storage will cost $1,099.99, while the model with 512GB storage will be priced at $1,219.99.
The Galaxy Z Flip6 will be available in Mint, Silver Shadow, Yellow, and Blue colors. Like the Fold6, the Flip6 will likely come with a free storage upgrade at launch. The 512 GB model will therefore retail for $1,099.99. It will be unveiled during Samsung’s next Unpacked event on July 10, along with the Fold6, Watch7 and Watch Ultra. The Galaxy Ring should also finally be launched on this occasion.
