Xiaomi 18 Pro and Pro Max: Color options and material leaked
According to a new rumor from tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo, Xiaomi’s next flagship smartphones, the Xiaomi 18 Pro and Pro Max, are currently being tested in black, white, pink, blue, and red. As DCS notes, this is indeed a very extensive color selection.
Although he doesn’t mention a specific model by name, it can be assumed that he’s referring to the two 17 Pro models. Both are expected to be officially unveiled next month, directly after Qualcomm’s annual Snapdragon Summit, where the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chipsets will be presented.

Rumors suggest that the Xiaomi 18 Pro and Pro Max will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset, Qualcomm‘s most powerful mobile chip to date. Furthermore, the next major camera update is apparently just around the corner.
Interestingly, DCS also mentions that neither of the two Xiaomi phones will have a glass back in their various color options. Therefore, it’s reasonable to assume that fiberglass will be used instead, which is definitely a trend among Chinese smartphone manufacturers lately. Xiaomi has also released ceramic backs in the past, but these were always limited to the Ultra models, such as the Xiaomi 17 Ultra.
The Xiaomi 18 Pro and Pro Max will have the same design as their predecessors and will also retain the rear screens, which may even remain the same size. According to the latest leak, there is strong evidence that the new models will be sold worldwide.
