As expected, the Samsung Galaxy M47 was unveiled in India today. The latest addition to the M series adopts some familiar design features and specifications from the Galaxy A27, but also offers several improvements.

The most important feature is the larger 6,000 mAh battery, which supports wired charging up to 45 watts. It also has a bypass charging function, allowing the device to draw power directly from the charger when plugged in. This is especially useful for gamers and helps keep the device cool.

Otherwise, the M47 is very similar to the A27. It features a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ and has a 12-megapixel front camera in a notch.

Inside, a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chip powers the device, paired with 6 or 8 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 128 or 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. On the back, a triple-camera setup features a 50 MP main camera, a 5 MP ultrawide camera, and a 2 MP macro camera.

The software side is covered by One UI 8.5 based on Android 16. Samsung promises six years of Android operating system upgrades for the Galaxy phone and the same number of security updates.
