Samsung Galaxy A27 5G unveiled with thinner bezels and punch-hole camera
The Samsung Galaxy A27 5G has just been unveiled, a rather subtle update to the Galaxy A26, which focuses mainly on the design and offers a slight performance boost inside.
At first glance, the Samsung Galaxy A27 is technically almost identical to its predecessor: It features a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. The difference lies in the integration of the selfie camera – the teardrop notch has disappeared and been replaced by a more streamlined punch-hole. Samsung calls this display “Infinixy-O” and states that the bezels around the screen have also been reduced in size.

The other major difference lies in the chipset used. The 4nm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 offers a slight speed increase (10–20%) compared to the 5nm Exynos 1380 of the Galaxy A26. Samsung thus promises a more responsive device for all-day use. On the other hand, the Galaxy smartphone is only IP64 splash-proof – a significant step backward compared to the Galaxy A26 with its IP67 certification.
The remaining technical specifications are very similar. According to the data sheet, the battery has the same capacity of 5,000 mAh and supports 25-watt charging. The camera setup includes a 50 MP wide-angle camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 5 MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 2 MP macro camera. The front camera has a 12 MP resolution. Samsung promises six Android operating system updates and up to six years of security updates.
The Samsung Galaxy A27 will be released on July 3rd in black, blue, and light pink. It will be available in 6/128 GB, 8/128 GB, and 8/256 GB storage configurations. Prices for the 128 GB version start at €349, while the 256 GB model costs €439.
