New vivo S60 leak: Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip and periscope telephoto camera

The vivo S60 will be unveiled on May 29th and was teased earlier this month. A tipster on Weibo now claims to have the complete technical specifications of the upcoming device, as well as details on a second model, which will be called the Vitality Edition in China.

The S60 is rumored to feature a 6.59-inch flat screen with 1260p resolution, the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom using Sony’s IMX882 sensor, a 50MP front camera, and a 7,200mAh battery with support for 90W wired charging.

The vivo S60 features a metal frame, a glass back, and is dustproof and waterproof according to IP68 and IP69 standards. It measures 157.52 x 74.33 x 7.92 mm and weighs 207 g. It also includes an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, an infrared transmitter, and a linear vibration motor along the X-axis.
The Vitality Edition is identical except for the omission of the telephoto camera and the Dimensity 7500 chipset. Thanks to the removal of the camera, it’s also slightly lighter at 199g. Since the vivo S50 was released outside of China as the V70 Elite (also featuring the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip) with a few minor adjustments, it wouldn’t be surprising if the V80 Elite has similar specifications to the S60.
