Xiaomi 17 Max with 8,000 mAh battery and 200 MP main camera

After Xiaomi confirmed the upcoming Xiaomi 17 Max and teased initial design details, some key specifications of the smartphone have now been revealed. While an exact release date has not yet been announced, the device is expected to launch in China later this month.


Xiaomi confirmed via a teaser on Weibo that the 17 Max will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. The company had previously announced that the smartphone will feature a 6.9-inch flat display.


The display is said to be the same panel as in the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max and offer image quality comparable to a 2K screen.
Xiaomi 17 Max with 100-watt charging?
The Xiaomi 17 Max will, as confirmed, feature an 8,000 mAh battery, but the company has not yet released any details about charging. Recent rumors suggest the smartphone could support 100-watt wired fast charging.
The smartphone will feature a 200-megapixel Leica main camera and a periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. Rumors also suggest it will be equipped with a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera.
The new Xiaomi smartphone is already available for pre-order in China, and we expect the brand to announce the official release date in the coming days.
