Redmi 15A launched as a rebranded Poco C85x

The newest member of the Redmi 15 series has just been unveiled in India. The Redmi 15A is here with a 6,300 mAh battery, a 120 Hz display, and a budget-friendly price. It’s essentially a rebranded Poco C85x with a different camera unit design.

The Redmi 15A features a 6.9-inch IPS LCD display with HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The display offers a peak brightness of 810 nits and is equipped with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. On the back, there is a 32-megapixel main camera and an unspecified additional lens.

The smartphone is powered by a Unisoc T8300 chipset, supported by 4 or 8 GB of RAM and 64 or 128 GB of internal storage. It supports two SIM cards and storage expansion via microSD card.

Redmi 15A with Xiaomi HyperOS 3

The software of the inexpensive Xiaomi smartphone is based on Xiaomi HyperOS 3, which is built on Android 16 and receives firmware updates for four years and security patches for six years. The 6,300 mAh battery supports 15-watt fast charging and 7.5-watt reverse charging. The smartphone is IP52 dust and water resistant and features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a headphone jack.

The Redmi 15A is available in Awesome Blue, Amaze Purple, and Ace Black. The base model with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage starts at 12,999 INR (119 euros/137 USD). Xiaomi also offers a version with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage for 14,499 INR (133 euros/153 USD) and a version with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage for 16,499 INR (151 euros/174 USD). Sales begin on April 3rd.
