OnePlus Nord 6: Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chip and 9,000 mAh battery
OnePlus recently began teasing the market launch in India of its upcoming Mid-range smartphone OnePlus Nord 6. Rumors suggest the device will be released in early April, and some details have already surfaced online. The two latest leaks show the retail box and reveal various technical specifications.
An insider has published an image of the OnePlus Nord 6’s retail packaging. According to the leak, the smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon 8 chipset, likely the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4. It will feature a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate.
The packaging also suggests that the OnePlus Nord 6 will feature a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and a 32MP front camera with autofocus. However, the biggest highlight is likely to be the massive 9,000mAh battery, which supports 80W wired charging.
OnePlus Nord 6 RAM, storage and price
Amazon India also published its own teaser website for the OnePlus phone that clearly indicates it is distributed via Amazon.
Furthermore, a tipster on X informed us that the OnePlus Nord 6 will be released in India in two RAM/storage variants: 8/256 GB and 12/256 GB. Interestingly, there will be neither a 512 GB nor a 128 GB variant.
The same source also claims that the Nord 6 will not be released alongside the Nord CE6 – the latter is not planned “for now.” It is unclear whether it will be released at a later date or whether the CE series will be discontinued.
There is also new information regarding the price – the Nord 6 is supposedly 3,000 to 5,000 INR (28 euros/32 US dollars to 46 euros/53 US dollars) more expensive than the OnePlus Nord 5. The device will be available in black, mint, and silver and is expected to launch in India around April 7th.
