OnePlus Nord 5 and Nord CE5 with giant batteries are here
The Nord series has become a mainstay of the Chinese brand OnePlus and is now entering its fifth generation with the OnePlus Nord 5 and the OnePlus Nord CE5. As expected, the Nord 5 features a more powerful chipset, a more attractive display, and better cameras, while the CE5 boasts the largest battery ever in a OnePlus smartphone at 7,100 mAh.
OnePlus Nord 5
The OnePlus Nord 5 features a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 144 Hz refresh rate. The panel achieves a peak brightness of 1,800 nits and is protected by Gorilla Glass 7i. It features an integrated optical fingerprint scanner and a 50 MP selfie camera (Samsung JN5).
OnePlus has opted for the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset this time, paired with 8/12 GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256/512 GB UFS 3.1 storage.
On the back, there are two cameras: a 50 MP main camera with a 24 mm focal length, a Sony LYT-700 sensor and optical image stabilization (OIS), and a 15 mm 8 MP ultra-wide-angle camera. OnePlus adopts the RAW HDR and Real Tone exposure algorithms of the OnePlus 13 series.
Both new smartphones run OxygenOS 15 based on Android 15 and are equipped with the OnePlus AI suite, which includes AI Eraser, AI Summary, AI Reply, and numerous other features powered by Google Gemini. They also benefit from OnePlus’ Open Canvas multitasking interface, first used on the OnePlus Open.
The OnePlus Nord 5 has a 6,800 mAh battery with 80W charging and also supports wired reverse charging up to 5W. It is available in Marble Sands, Dry Ice, and Phantom Grey. OnePlus Nord CE5
The OnePlus Nord CE5 features a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and 120 Hz and a peak brightness of 1,430 nits. The panel is equipped with an integrated optical fingerprint sensor and a 16 MP selfie camera (IMX480).
Inside is a MediaTek Dimensity 8350, paired with 8/12 GB LPDDR5X RAM and 128/256 GB expandable UFS 3.1 storage.
The highlight is the 7.100 mAh battery of the OnePlus Nord CE5. OnePlus promises over 27 hours YouTube-Replacement, over 18 hours Instagram use and over 9 hours of gaming time. Comfortable charging with 80 watt supervoo and support for bypass shop are also available.
The OnePlus Nord CE5 has a 26 mm 50-MP main camera (LYT-600) with optical image stabilizer (OIS) and a 16 mm-8-MP-ultra-angle lens (OV08D10). Like the north 5, OnePlus brings the RAW HDR and Real-Tone Exposure algorithms of the OnePlus 13 series.
