Huawei Band 11 series unveiled, FreeBuds Pro 5 embark on a world tour

The Huawei Band 11 and Band 11 Pro are here, the FreeBuds Pro 5 are going on a world tour, and the Watch Ultimate 2 is now also available in green for €900.

Besides the brand new Watch GT Runner 2 we also saw the release of the Huawei Band 11 and Band 11 Pro and the glabal start of the flagship wireless earbuds FreeBuds Pro 5 today.

Huawei Band 11 and Band 11 Pro

The Huawei Band 11 series is available in two variants this year. Both versions feature a 1.62-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 286 × 482 pixels, a refresh rate of 60 Hz, and an always-on display (AOD) function.

The Huawei Band 11 Pro’s display is slightly curved and it has a more robust casing. It offers a maximum local brightness of 2,000 nits, while the Band 11 reaches a maximum of 1,500 nits.

The Huawei Band 11 and Band 11 Pro feature an aluminum alloy casing and are water-resistant up to 5 ATM, so you can wear them while swimming. The Band 11 weighs only 17 grams, while the Pro model weighs 18 grams without the strap.

They pair via Bluetooth 6.0 and feature integrated speakers for hands-free calls. Battery life is up to 14 days with light use or 8 days with normal use. The Pro model also offers GNSS tracking, allowing you to record your runs.

Both Huawei fitness trackers also record over 100 sports modes as well as vital signs such as heart rate, blood oxygen saturation, heart rate variability (HRV), sleep and stress.

The Huawei Band 11 and Band 11 Pro are available in beige, green, purple, white, and black for €45/£50. The Band 11 Pro is available in green, blue, and black for €60/£70. Both wearables will be available from March 6th.

Huawei FreeBuds Pro 5

Following their announcement in China in November, the FreeBuds Pro 5 are now being launched internationally. They feature a dual-driver system with an 11mm dynamic driver and a microplanar tweeter. Huawei’s custom Kirin A3 chip and enhanced adaptive noise cancellation (ANC) are also integrated.

The headphones connect via Bluetooth 6.0 and support the audio codecs AAC, SBC, LDAC, and L2HC with a transmission rate of up to 2.3 Mbps to compatible Huawei devices. They also offer simultaneous device pairing and touch control.

The earbuds are IP57 certified, the charging case IP54. The battery life is 8 hours with the ANC function of the earbuds deactivated, or up to 33 hours with the charging case.

The FreeBuds Pro 5 are available in sand gold, black, white, and dark blue and are on sale today for €199 / £180. Orders placed through the official Huawei online store by April 4th will receive a €30 / £30 discount and one year of Huawei Loss Care.

Huawei Watch Ultimate 2

In addition to the other announcements, Huawei is bringing a new green color option to its Watch Ultimate 2. It will retail for €900 / £900 and will be available from the end of March.
