Tecno Pova Curve 2 with 8,000 mAh battery and curved display is here

The Tecno Pova Curve 2 was unveiled in India today. As the name suggests, it features a curved display and, according to the manufacturer, is the slimmest smartphone with an 8,000 mAh battery on the market. Furthermore, the design has been refined compared to the original Pova Curve.


The front of the Tecno Pova Curve 2 features a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. The panel also offers a peak brightness of up to 4,500 nits.


The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, and the smartphone also offers IP64 certification and SGS-certified drop protection.



On the back is a dual camera with a 50 MP main sensor and a 2 MP depth sensor. A 13 MP front-facing camera is available in a notch for selfies.
Tecno Pova Curve 2 with CPU downgrade
The new model is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 chipset, paired with 8 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 256 GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The previous model was better equipped with a Dimensity 7300 Ultimate chip.
One of the phone’s highlights is its large 8,000 mAh battery, which supports 45-watt fast charging. It also features an in-display fingerprint scanner, an infrared sensor, a speaker with Dolby Atmos, USB Type-C, dual SIM capability, Bluetooth 5.4, and dual-band Wi-Fi. The Pova Curve 2 runs HiOS 16 based on Android 16 and is slated to receive two Android operating system upgrades.
The smartphone also features G1 signal enhancement and SE1 Wi-Fi enhancement chipsets for optimized connectivity. It is 7.42 mm thick and weighs 195 g.
Prices
The Tecno Pova Curve 2 is offered in Mystic Purple, Melting Silver, and Storm Titanium. The price is 27,999 INR (260 Euros/310 USD) for the model with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage, and 29,999 INR (279 Euros/330 USD) for the variant with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage.
The Pova Curve 2 will be available in India from February 20th.
