Tecno Pova Curve 5G with 7.5 mm and 5,500 mAh battery is here
It’s official – the Tecno Pova Curve 5G is here, India’s thinnest (7.5 mm) curved smartphone with a 5,500 mAh battery! The curvature is 55°, which, according to Tecno, creates a futuristic feel in the hand. Inside is a 4nm Dimensity 7300 Ultimate chipset, paired with either 6 GB or 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage.
The Tecno Pova Curve 5G is available in three colors: Magic Silver, Neon Cyan, and Geek Black. Unlike the older Pova models, there are unfortunately no illuminated LEDs on the back. On the front is a 6.78-inch 1080p AMOLED display with a 144 Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,300 nits. Tecno achieves a screen-to-body ratio of 93.8%.
The battery, as already mentioned, has a capacity of 5,500 mAh and can be charged via cable at 45 watts. Tecno states that its battery has TÜV Rheinland Long Range certification for over 1,800 charging cycles. The smartphone is said to charge to 50% in just 15 minutes and to 100% in 45 minutes. The Tecno Pova Curve 5G’s camera features a 64 MP (1/1.73-inch) Sony IMX682 wide-angle camera and a 2 MP depth sensor.
Tecno has focused on the Pova Curve’s connectivity, ensuring a strong signal no matter where you are. The Pova Curve 5G offers solid 86.5% antenna coverage, VoWiFi Dual Pass, and real-time signal optimization.
Tecno has equipped the Pova Curve 5G with Ella AI technology, claiming it to be the first AI in this segment with support for Indian languages. Users benefit from AI-powered speech recognition (also known as noise cancellation for voice calls), AI auto-answer, an AI-powered call assistant with live translations and call summaries (including WhatsApp calls), and the ability to use network communication for connectivity in areas with weak or no signal (Tecno hasn’t explained how this works).
Tecno Pova Curve 5G Pricing
The Tecno Pova Curve 5G will be available starting June 5 at 12:00 PM. The 6/128 GB variant is available exclusively on Flipkart and is priced at INR 15,999 (€166/$187). The 8/128 GB device costs INR 16,999 and is available in brick-and-mortar stores. Pre-orderers have the chance to win a Royal Enfield motorcycle, a scooter, a free screen replacement, an extended warranty, and vouchers. Offline buyers can enjoy up to 10 months of free installment payments for just INR 57 per day.
